My research on personality development is perhaps the most integrative of the three areas. Typically, my questions concerned with personality change and/or prediction also have important developmental considerations, such that the answers to, specific framing of, and the most appropriate methods for examining these questions may differ across the lifespan.
These considerations can further vary across and be contingent upon the specific traits, outcomes, or metrics in which personality is quantified (e.g., static levels, mean-level changes, profile consistency) – possibly resulting in many unique effects!
A few examples of my questions regarding this type of work are:
Are any periods of the lifespan particularly important for identifying effects or capturing patterns of change?
Do age-specific differences in patterns of change vary across different individual difference metrics for personality?
Does predictive utility vary depending on the age at which personality is assessed?
Do age-specific differences in predictive utility vary across different individual difference metrics?
